26th March 2025: 17.00-18.00hrs: Safeguarding for Student Helpers

This course is for 14–17-year-old student helpers and classroom assistants.
 
The course is an introduction to safeguarding which will help them to support younger students and understand the importance of passing all concerns onto qualified staff members.
 
Student helpers often ‘bridge the gap’ between teachers and younger students, supporting them in class and helping with their day-to-day needs. It is essential that while doing this our students are well protected and are able to pass on any worries they may have about younger students to the appropriate adults. This course teaches that.
 
This is an ideal course for young students who may be taking a level 3 teaching assistant qualifications or who want to gain more knowledge and skills before embarking on a dance teaching career and is an excellent addition to any CV.
