This 4 hour, level 2 safeguarding training course is essential for all dance teachers.
Good Safeguarding knowledge is not only helpful when things go wrong for your students but is essential for making sure everything in your school continues to go right.
A proactive approach to safeguarding ensures your school is a school where everyone is valued, and everyone thrives.
This specialist safeguarding course for dance teachers meets all requirements of guidance and good practice regarding safeguarding but it is also dance specific, tailored to the needs of the dance industry by a safeguarding specialist with twenty years’ experience as a dance teacher.
On this course you will learn:
Your safeguarding duties as outlined in law and guidance
How to recognise safeguarding concerns
How to respond to safeguarding concerns
How to record and report safeguarding concerns.
This course will teach you how to ensure your students are protected. The course covers safeguarding children AND safeguarding adult responsibilities so will ensure you have complete knowledge to manage any concerns that arise at your studio for your child or adult dancers or in your customer community of parents and carers.
This will all be taught in the context of teaching dance and will highlight some of the key safeguarding challenges within the industry and will explore safeguards to these.
This course will help you, not only meet your safeguarding obligations as a dance teacher but help you create a school where every child is valued and a school that stands out to parents and carers as an environment where their child will be cared for, respected, safe and protected.
